Shugmeister's Transport
Welcome
Here are all the pictures that don't really fit into my other site. I don't take a lot of pictures usually but some times go mad with the camera. You'll find plenty of Manx interest here along with some other bits and bobs.

Check out the links for more interesting goings on!

Cheers

Douglas

Whitby, North Yorkshire Moors Railway & Scarborough
A trip away for a few days to North Yorkshire. Staying at Whitby I visited the NYMR on Friday coinciding with their deisel gala. A trip to Scarborough followed on Saturday.
    Metrocentre Rally 2006
Travelling down from Livingston on a Mercedes Vario, Plaxton Cheeta supplied by Blue Bus of Shotts.
Isle of Man Trams July 2005
Manx Electric Railway, Snaefell Mountain Railway and the Douglas Corporation Horse Tramway are both seen during our holiday in July 2005.
    Isle of Man Steam Railways
July 2005 the Isle of Man Railway (IoMR) is the main system on the island but the narrow gauge lines at Groudle Glen (GGR) and Laxey Mines are also featured. A visit is also made to the Steam Railway Museum at Port Erin.
    Isle of Man Buses
July 2005 and 2 weeks in the wonderful Isle of Man. Armed only with a camera and our travel passes we covered the island. Basically all the buses are operated by the state owned Isle of Man Transport however some other interesting vehicles were seen.
    Showbus 2005
We 'did' Showbus again in 2005. Stagecoach providing us with a B10M Expressliner 2, which was nice (!) and a great weekend was had by all.
    Jay's Coaches
Jay's Coaches of Greengairs operate three former Fife Scottish Leyland Leopards and when looking for preservation candidates I paid them a visit in 2004
    Western Buses Spring 2005
Knowing the end was nigh for Western's Leyland Leopards we set out for Stranraer and weren't disappointed. The Leopards were all gone only a matter of months later (sigh).
First Borders Fleet at Dunsmores 2004
Having worked with First in the Borders it was a sorry sight to see our former vehicles at Dunsmores yard when sourcing spares for my own Tiger. Parts of many First Tigers will live on in my own vehicles :-)
